Opportunities for Technical Staff
Whilst it is appreciated that the needs of our technical staff community are diverse and varied, there are a number of general opportunities for development activities provided through the main staff development programme. These include opportunities for management development and supervisory accreditation, CIT skills and personal and professional effectiveness.
Continuing Professional Development Programme for Technical Staff
The CPD Award has been designed for use by all Higher and Further Education Institutions and their partner colleges to accredit the skills of Technical Staff. It is suitable for technical staff in the HE and FE sector who work in specialised environments such as laboratories or workshops and those based in seminar and office based environments.
It is appropriate for technical staff involved with supporting teaching, research or both and seeks to recognise the more 'traditional' aspects of the technical role as well as those related to new and emerging technologies.
