Hourly-paid postgraduate teachers, graduate teaching assistants and demonstrators: professional development opportunities

Postgraduates who are new to teaching at the University are offered a range of development opportunities for their teaching and supporting student learning, in a collegiate environment. Hourly-paid postgraduate teachers, graduate teaching assistants and demonstrators are encouraged to participate in the activities and provision which include:

Technology for Teaching

This twelve-hour course is designed to introduce postgraduate teachers to learning technologies that are available across the University of Salford, developing IT skills and confidence in using them. Participants will be able to implement the skills learnt into their teaching. Six two-hour workshops are practical and include discussion and sharing of ideas. A certificate is awarded to those who successfully complete the course. It is anticipated that participants will attend all scheduled sessions.
