Management Development
Do you have a management role in the University or are about to move into such a role?
We aim to support you to be successful by offering appropriate management development whether you are a new supervisor or a senior manager with considerable experience.
We offer:
- advice, guidance and support in identifying your development needs and drawing up a personal development plan to meet them;
- briefings and short courses open to all managers;
- a range of longer programmes for senior, middle and first line managers;
- online learning materials to use independently or in conjunction with a course;
- for senior managers, one-to-one consultations or coaching sessions and opportunities to join an action learning set;
- the online Manager's Handbook with information on and links to support key management activities;
- bespoke management development events for management teams and groups, particularly to support organisational change and development.
The Leadership and Management Development Advisory Group oversees the University's Leadership and Management Development Strategy work.
